Bringing over 20 years in senior and executive roles providing commercial and financial services, Matthew is recognised Australia-wide as an expert in commercial and financial advice for the transport industry. Matthew started as a graduate at Pitcher Partners in 1997. He worked in the United Kingdom for several years with Government Departments, delivering major financial transformation projects including the UK Cabinet Office, the Department of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Public Guardianship Office. He returned to Pitcher Partners in 2007, becoming a Partner in 2017. Matthew works collaboratively with our clients to ensure that their procurements provide value for money outcomes; and are conducted within the appropriate frameworks and other applicable policy and procedures that ensure best practice procurement. In founding Aster Advisory, Matthew values the strong cultural alignment between Aster Advisory and the organisations he works with. All are driven by an outcome motive, rather than economic return, for their business, staff and communities. In this context, Matthew has been able to build trusting and enduring relationships. He is often considered ‘one of the team’ and is known for rolling up his sleeves and getting stuck in side by side with organisations to get the work done. Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration, is a Chartered Accountant and is a Member in Public Practice. Matthew enjoys spending time with his young family, as well as travelling along the Victorian coastline.
